Policies

General Information
Cell phone use is not permitted in the studio. Please turn off cell phones once arriving. Please make sure your car is locked, and you put your valuables in your trunk before arriving at the studio. The Prancing Peacock provides cubbies to store personal belongings, however, we are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage of personal items.

Sign Up/Reservation Information
We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the designated start time to ensure a spot in the class. If you have not arrived 5 minutes before the start time of a class or workshop, the front desk will offer your spot to a patron on our wait list.

Class Cancellation Policy
The minimum late cancel time will be 2 hours before your reserved class. If you do not cancel within  the 2 hour period, or are a no show,  the class will be deducted from your class card. Repeated late cancels and no shows on a monthly unlimited account may lead to inability to sign up online.

Freezing Recurring Monthly Memberships  and Yearly Passes
After the first 3 months, Monthly recurring and Yearly Pass students have the ability to freeze their memberships for a minimum of 15 days once per year.

Waitlist
If you try to register for a class and it is full, you may sign up on the waitlist. The system will add you to the class as space becomes available at least 2 hours before the start. If you are added and no longer want to attend, you must cancel your reservation.

Late Entry Policy
Late entry is always at the discretion of the studio. If you are late, we ask that you wait until the opening meditation is finished before you enter the class space. Late entry will only be allowed up to 5 minutes after class begins, space permitting.

Class Refund Policy
All classes, packs, and sessions are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. Any class packs or monthlies not used within the assigned duration will be forfeited – no exceptions.

Workshop and Series Cancellation Policy
Once you register for a workshop or series, your space has been reserved. To cancel, you must contact the studio (by phone, email to info@prancingpeacock.com, or in person) 72 hours or more before the workshop or series. You will receive a credit on your Prancing Peacock account. No credits will be issued within 72 hours before the event,  no  exceptions. Please plan carefully.

Private Session Cancellation Policy
Private sessions (Reiki, Breathwork, Yoga and Massage) require a 24 hour cancellation. If the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours or a no  show the client will be charged the full amount of the session.

Cancel Event Refund Policy
Should Prancing Peacock cancel a workshop or event for any reason, all fees will be refunded in full.

Boutique Refund Policy
Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase. Store credit only. Certain restrictions may apply. Clearance items are considered a final sale, no returns.

Q: Where should I start?
A: If you have never taken yoga before, the beginner class is a great place to start. If you have trouble getting up and down off the ground, try a gentle or gentle beginners class instead! A beginner class is very instructional, and the gentle class is a little less intense.

Q: Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfortable, easy to move in clothing that’s not too baggy (so that your shirt doesn’t fall over your head in dogwood dog, ha!). It is never a bad idea to layer. The average studio temperature is 70 degrees. Yoga is practiced barefoot, although you can wear your socks if you wish!

Q: How early should I arrive?
A: Most students arrive 15 minutes before class to sign in, set up their mats and relax before class starts. You should be seated on your mat when class time begins.

Q: How long are class passes good for and what classes can I come to?
A: The new student special is begins when you take your first class and is good for thirty days from then on. 10 packs are valid for 1 year from date of purchase. Workshops and special events are not included in monthly memberships, although you do get 25% off certain workshops as a monthly member! Classes can be purchased online or at the desk, but payment is required to officially reserve a spot in class. 

Q: What should I bring?
A: Yourself! We have all the props you might need, including studio mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets. If you have your own mat, definitely bring it! We also have a water bottle fill station so bring your reusable bottle!

Q: Should I eat before I come?
A: Practicing on a full stomach is not very comfortable, but practicing on an empty stomach can make you lightheaded. We recommend eating an hour or more before class. 

Q: How many times a week should I do yoga?
A: Our classes last 60 to 75 minutes. Some people take a class everyday. Most people are happy doing 2 or 3 classes a week. Any yoga is better than no yoga. 

Q: How do I pay for classes?
A: We accept cash and all major credit cards. We do not accept checks. We recommend signing up online to reserve classes! .
