Where should I start?
If you have never taken yoga before, the beginner or gentle classes are a great place to start. A beginner class is very instructional, and the gentle class is a little less intense. A beginner workshop is held once a month at the studio. It is 2 hours long and covers alignment, class structure, breathing, origins of yoga, meditation tips and questions and answers. Look under the special events page for details.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, not too baggy clothing. It is a good idea to wear layers so you can shed them if you start to get warm. The average class room temperature is 72 degrees. Yoga is practiced barefoot, although you can wear your socks if you wish!
How early should I arrive?
Most students arrive 15 minutes before class to sign in, set up their mats and relax before class starts. If you are running late, please wait until meditation is over to enter the class.
How long are class passes good for and what classes can I come to?
5 packs are valid for 60 days, 10 packs are valid for 90 days. Workshops and special events are not included. Class cards can be purchased online. Check out our pricing page here for more info.
What should I bring?
Yoga mats are available to use at the studio. It is recommended that you get your own mat for hygienic reasons. Many styles of mats are available for purchase in our yoga boutique. You can also bring a water bottle and a small towel.
Should I eat before I come?
Practicing on a full stomach is not very comfortable. It is best to eat a large meal 3-4 hours before coming. If you need to eat something, yogurt, nuts or cheese are good choices for a light snack up to an hour before class.
How many times a week should I do yoga?
Our classes last 60 to 75 minutes. Some people take a class everyday. Most people are happy doing 2 or 3 classes a week. Any yoga is better than no yoga.
How do I pay for classes?
We take cash and all major credit cards. We recommend signing up online to reserve classes.
